CLIENT: Heyco Products Corporation PROJECT: Strain Relief Connectors MATERIALS & PROCESSES: Injection molded nylon DESCRIPTION: In order to maximize their investment in tooling, these parts were designed to utilize some parts from existing modular molds, along with new mold parts, to create a new product category at a fraction of the cost of completely new tools. MH&P reviewed the molds with the client, designed the new part features to work within the existing modular molds, provided all necessary 3D files, and performed site inspections of all potential toolmakers in order to assure quality results. |
