CLIENT: Vacuum Instruments Corporation (VIC) PROJECT: Industrial vacuum leak detector MATERIALS & PROCESSES: The front panel, chassis, and service access door are resin cast in RTV molds, which keeps tooling costs to a minimum, and the top cover and fold-down rear panel are fabricated in sheet metal. DESCRIPTION: Used in industrial environments, this leak detector needed to be rugged, easily serviced, and small enough to fit down narrow aisles. MH&P rearranged the internal components to reduce the enclosure size, created a safe storage area for the hand-held instrument probe, and improved service access by making the top cover easily removable and the rear panel fold down out of the way. |
