PROJECT: Automated cytology analyzer

MATERIALS & PROCESSES:  Custom sheet metal doors and panels with fiberglass pull-bars, composite optical base and a laminated tabletop mounted to standard 19" and 24" electronic racks.

DESCRIPTION: Designed for this company's own, internal use, this analyzer scans cytological slides for abnormal cells patterns. It then notes the location on the slide and refers such instances for further (human) inspection. In addition to creating the external design, MH&P provided study models for early engineering development, production documentation, vendor sources, and fabricated the first 3 prototypes.
